Traditional rulers from across the South-Western region said they have concluded plans to convene to present a comprehensive reelection victory blueprint for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The historic event is scheduled to take place on November 19, 2026, at the Oduduwa House, Ooni of Ife Palace, Ile-Ife, Osun State, according to the organisers.
The conference, organized by the South-West Nigeria Baales’ Forum, is designed as a unified traditional institution framework to secure millions of votes and ensure a massive voter turnout across all South-West states.
While speaking on the upcoming event, Convener of the South-West Nigeria Baales Forum, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, said that beyond the electoral blueprint, the convention will focus heavily on regional security, youth empowerment, women engagement, and building sustainable bridges between the traditional institution, federal and state governments, and the private sector to drive development across the region.
Bamigbade disclosed that the high-profile gathering will see thousands of Baales, Obas, and Chiefs voluntarily endorsing the Tinubu-Shettima Ticket for a second term.
“This conference represents a unified front by our traditional rulers to secure the future of the Western region and Nigeria at large.
“We are honored to announce that the former Governor of Lagos State and erstwhile Minister, Babatunde Raji Fashola, (SAN), will serve as the keynote speaker, delivering a critical address on the importance of reelecting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
‘’The Arole Oduduwa, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, will serve as the royal host, welcoming traditional leaders and delegates to his ancient palace.
‘’The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who also doubles as the APC Presidential Campaign Council Director in Osun State, will lead the state’s delegation as the chief host. All Progressives Congress (APC) governors from the Western region are expected to attend and deliver presentations highlighting the regional impacts and strategic importance of the President’s reelection.
‘’His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will grace the occasion as the special guest of honor, while the APC Presidential Campaign Council Director, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, will attend as the guest of honor.’’
He added that the event will also bring together APC candidates from across the region, key political stakeholders, private sector leaders, and political appointees.
‘’The daytime conference will culminate in an official commemorative dinner, featuring the formal presentation of the blueprint designed to deliver an overwhelming victory for the Tinubu-Shettima reelection bid in 2027,’’ Bamigbade added.
