The United Nations Association of Africa (UNAA) has expressed its heartfelt condolences to its Global Sustainability Ambassador, Victor Asije, and the entire Asije family on the death of their mother, Madam Janet Ayeikumen Asije, who died on August 5,2026.
The leadership of UNAA in a condolence message, sent from the organisation’s Headquarters in Winston, Texas, described the loss of a mother as one of life’s destabilising experiences.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family on the passing of your beloved mother, Madam Janet Ayeikumen Asije, who departed this life on August 5, 2026.
“We know that the loss of a mother is one of life’s destabilising experiences. A mother represents not only the gift of life, but also the foundation upon which family, character, values and cherished are built.
“At this moment of grief, we encourage you to draw strength from the memories you shared with her, the values she imparted, and the legacy she leaves behind through her children” it said.
The UNAA described Asije as its valued member and Ambassador, who has continued to contribute his experiences, time, commitment, and service to its global peace and sustainability agendas.
It also prayed that God Almighty grant the soul of Madam Asije eternal rest, and grant her entire family and community the fortitude to bear the loss.
